We're starting a new Christmas tradition this year and The Elf on the Shelf is a perfect way to get in the Christmas Spirit--and better yet a good reminder to be on your best behavior. ;) Earlier in the week we had an impromptu visit with Santa when we met daddy for supper at Bass Pro Shops. So because I couldn't contain my excitement (and I've been dying to put this together since I picked up these little goodies from the store,) I told the boys that the elf arrives soon after you visit Santa because Santa wants to make sure you're on your best behavior. So "Pumpkin" (named by the boys) arrived this morning straight from the North Pole via Bass Pro Shops and brought breakfast with him. And a North Pole breakfast would not be complete without hot chocolate with mini- marshmallows, powdered donuts, and gingerbread cookies. Cookies for breakfast?! Yikes!. So I added some bacon and grits, too, so we can call it "breakfast". The boys had no idea and were totally surprised--video upload pending of their reactions. It was so awesome and sweet to see their little faces light up when they saw him. Needless to say, they've both been very good little boys this morning. :)
Thanks to Jessica @ www.littlepumpkingrace.blogspot.com for this cute idea!

| Pulled together last night from stuff around the house, plus a few $1 finds. Very inexpensive and a nice treat for the boys. |

| And a treat from "Pumpkin"--a dry erase calendar ($1) to count down the days until Christmas. |
Love the blog and so excited I can keep up with the Timmons Family on here! :-)
